What is hosting
A web site is a group of files and they need to 'sit' on a computer (known as a server) somewhere that is permanently connected to the web. It is a little like renting an office, and the organisation that supplies this service charges a monthly fee. This service is called hosting.

Email Redirection
With each hosting package you get email redirection. This means that you can have email addresses linked to your domain name such as fred@yourname.com.au and any email sent to this address automatically gets redirected to your actual email address provided by your Internet Service Provider.
